Nick Markott is a financial coach helping people get clear on their money, make confident decisions, and build a rock-solid financial future they had previously only dreamed about. His approach is personal and practical as he delivers thoughtful guidance that helps clients understand where they are, decide where they want to go, and make a plan to get there.
Nick came to True Story ready to invest in his own business — looking for a brand and website that could communicate his value as warmly as he communicates financial strategy.
We worked together to clarify his positioning, shape his messaging, and build a visual identity and website that feel trustworthy without getting too buttoned-up. For his brand launch, we decided a simple one-pager website was really all he needs to lock in credibility after he shakes someone’s hand and hands them a business card.
For his identity, we leaned on a simple typographical mark that adds some of that California-western flavor now native to Nick, a former New Yorker.
In this case, Squarespace was the right choice for giving Nick an easy-to-edit foundation for future growth while keeping the person behind the numbers front and center. We used AI to edit some of his headshots in keeping with the flavor of his new brand, and Canva to create some quick business cards so he could start getting the word out.
